WorkStation Assessments
Typically a desk assessment, however can be applied to any workstation, in any environment.
Workstation assessments look at the interaction between a worker and their workstation from a biomechanical perspective. Adjustments are made to a workspace immediately where possible, or recommendations made if more substantial adjustments, or specialised equipment is, required. Education regarding biomechanics, posture, positioning, postural breaks and stretches, as appropriate, is provided. Printed reference material is provided as a reminder of the key aspects of appropriate workstation set-up.
Workstation assessments can be undertaken to review traditional office-based seated workstations, home-based workstations, standing workstations, sit-stand workstations, multi-use workstations or atypical workstations.
Workstation set-up and adjustment education can be provided to small groups if desired.
Although an ergonomic assessment of a workstation is ideally performed face to face, Fluid Rehab is able to offer a non-contact E-Ergonomic Assessment Service where required. The assessment utilises guided photos provided to Fluid Rehab for review, assessment and adjustment / equipment prescription.
Advice can be provided to employers prior to, or during the process of, redesigning work areas.
