Senior Injury Management Consultant

Sonja began her professional career in 1996 at Active Injury Management as an Occupational Therapist and Injury Management Consultant working across both Western Australian and National workers compensation jurisdiction.  She continued in this industry, working into leadership and business development roles at both the ORS Group and WorkFocus Australia where she completed her Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training as well as her Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.  Her tenure with these two national companies allowed her to use her skills to assist in business expansion and to mentor and manage professional staff, including time in Sydney.

In 2004 Sonja created Occupational Fitness Solutions and continued to run this enterprise until 2017. Occupational Fitness Solutions provided services within the Western Australian workers compensation workplace rehabilitation, injury management, and injury prevention sectors. As the Managing Director, Sonja's focus was on service delivery, business development, overseeing service delivery quality, and providing strategic direction to the business.  During this time Sonja also lectured and tutored to Curtin University’s School of Occupational Therapy in ergonomics, occupational health and occupational therapy.

Sonja attended Curtin University where she received a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy.  Sonja continued her studies to complete a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management at the University of Western Australia.   She is a member of a number of professional associations including AHRPA, APRA and AIM.  She has represented both Australia and Western Australia in the sports of surf lifesaving, athletics and field hockey.
