Kirrily is an Occupational Therapist with over 10 years’ experience in injury management and workers compensation. She commenced her career in soft tissue occupational therapy / ergonomics before moving into workplace rehabilitation and then employer-based injury management roles in the mining and higher education sector. Kirrily was a long-standing employee of the University of Western of Australia working across injury management, injury prevention, health promotion and leadership roles during her time there.
Kirrily has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Ergonomics and Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety along with training in mental health and health promotion which provide a broad range of skills to draw from in delivering workplace rehabilitation and occupational therapy services for both physical and psychological injuries. Kirrily’s professional interest lies in injury prevention and ergonomics with experience across a range of work roles and industries including higher education, healthcare and medical, security and emergency services, mining and fabrication. Kirrily is also an experienced workplace trainer having delivered workshops across both blue-collar and white-collar workforces on topics including safety management, injury management, injury prevention (manual handling / ergonomics) and mental health.
Having experience at both the individual claim and broader policy management level, Kirrily appreciates the impacts of effective case management on workers compensation claim outcomes and policy performance. Kirrily enjoys working collaboratively with safety, human resources, medical and insurance professionals as part of the injury management process and appreciates the different perspectives they each bring. Kirrily’s approach to injury management is based on developing strong working relationships, clear goals for rehabilitation and achieving positive outcomes for all key parties.
Currently based in the South-West of WA, Kirrily is providing workplace rehabilitation and occupational therapy services for clients across this region.
